Censoring My Dr. Oz Article

Censoring My Dr. Oz Article

Well, EzineArticles.com is, once again, censoring me.

It’s not that I use vile or demeaning language. That stuff doesn’t come out of my mouth even if I hit my thumb with a hammer.

Or that I’m pushing for insurrection. Or telling lies. Or any number of inappropriate things.

No, the problem is I’m trying to help people understand how doctors and Big Pharma put their health in jeopardy. To encourage readers to be the Captain of their health and not outsource it to the medical community.

The last time they bounced one of my articles, as I logged in to find out what the problem was, I noticed their home page highlighted an article that explained how men could seduce any woman they wanted to. Speaking of advocating misbegotten behavior.

So I inquired as to why they had no problem with an article that promoted the idea of objectifying, manipulating and abusing women, but then got all in a knot when I said Big Pharma didn’t have our best interests in mind.

They chose not to answer the question.

This time I incurred their disapproval with what I wrote about a “First For Women” article covering Dr. Mehmet Oz’s thoughts on “curing” thyroid disease. It contained big chunks of misinformation, the kind the medical community promotes in spite of all the science disproving it.

First, they didn’t like the idea I used Dr. Oz’s name. Right. We certainly don’t want to let people know the source of the misinformation that’ll drag down their health.

And there’s more.

The editor writes,

“We are not able to accept articles that contain negative language in reference to any particular product, company, individual or group.”

and gives the dragged-out-of-context example from my article:

“Then comes another baloney sandwich: “While typical thyroid tests uncover most cases [of thyroid disease]. . .” Doctors actually believe that! No wonder we’re dying out here.”

Now, that happens to be a factual, if colorful, statement. The unreliable thyroid blood tests are a major, major part of why thyroid patients get lousy care. Most thyroid patients never get better, which sets them up for a 100% increase in the chances of congestive heart disease–among a raft of other problems.

I’m trying to save lives, and EzineArticles is doing a Rodney King!

Losing it, I replied, “So if I write about the Hell’s Angels, I have to say they’re lovely people, but misunderstood?”

An unwise, probably-shooting-myself-in-the-foot reaction. EzineArticles is the largest article site going, people, who otherwise wouldn’t know what I do, see my information and come to http://TooPoopedToParticipate.com to sign up for my free e-zine. That’s a great benefit.

But what’s a person to do when 50% of the population isn’t getting the care they need–and deserve–because of medical politics?

And that 50% only covers patients with a whacked-out thyroid–most of whom don’t know why they’re so tired and brain befogged. What about heart patients? And vaccines? Diabetes? Breast cancer? Prostate cancer? And on. And on. And on. . .

To sum up: We’re in a war, but I’m told to stand down.

If you want to say good-bye to fatigue, prevent dread diseases and slow down aging, you have to give your body ammunition to fight the good fight. And the number one source of ammunition is nutrition.

Thanks to a drunk driver, Bette Dowdell’s pituitary gland, the king of the endocrine universe, got whacked when she was 11-months old. Her thyroid was in trouble. And her adrenals. Everything. So her health hit the skids. Doctors didn’t help, and she finally crashed and burned in her twenties.

She determined to research her way out of her mess. To make her brain work again. To have the energy she needed. To quit picking up every bug that came along. It took years, but she finally discovered what she needed to know to make it happen.

Now, to help others make it happen, too, Dowdell wrote the e-book Pep for the Pooped: Vitamins And Minerals Your Body Is Starving For. It tells you how to build a vitamin/mineral foundation for good health.

I could not agree with you more. Ezine is very heavy handed with their censorship.
There is another article site called Searchwarp that does not censor stuff and puts your articles up in minutes rather than days. After publishing my article on censorhship by Ezine articles I was contacted by a PhD psychologist who also cancelled her account for censorship as well.

    Blessings on you and yours

Thanks, John. EzineArticles can do whatever they please; it’s their space. Does it bother me that they won’t let me spread the word about health misinformation that can hurt people? Oh, indeed. And it also bothers me that they don’t respond when I point out inconsistencies in their standards. But, then, legalistic minds rarely see inconsistencies. While, as I said, it’s their space, people might get a skewed observation about what’s going on by what they read–and don’t read–on the most widely-used article site on the web. Thanks for the blessings; I’ll take all of those I can get.

    Hey Bette:

I suggest that you try Searchwarp.com. They always got my articles on the first page of a google search and they don’t censor your articles.

I got a lot of page views, 15,000 in 3 months.

    Blessings on you and yours
