Pep for the Pooped

(Glendale AZ Oct. 14, 2009) Bette Dowdell released “Pep for the Pooped: The Vitamins And Minerals Your Body Is Starving For,” an electronic book, today.

This book is for anybody who lives tired. Fact is, exhaustion hounds most of us. We don’t know what hit us or what to do about it. “Pep for the Pooped” details vitamins and minerals that form a foundation of good health, a major step in resolving fatigue.

“Pep for the Pooped” is full of information new to most people. For example, conversations about, say, molybdenum would be pretty short in many circles, but molybdenum’s a little powerhouse. And it’s just one of thirty powerhouses in this book.

Dowdell is not a medical professional. She’s somebody who pulled herself out of a very deep ditch when doctors wouldn’t.

A drunk driver damaged Dowdell’s pituitary gland when she was a baby. To paraphrase, when the pituitary ain’t happy, ain’t nothing happy. The thyroid doesn’t work. Or the adrenals. Pretty much nothing works, but doctors said she was fine.

So Dowdell set to work to figure it out. This book shares what she learned in her many years of researching and experimenting.

“Pep for the Pooped” is the first book to give specifics on how vitamins and minerals help both general and endocrine (pituitary, thyroid, etc.) health. Most books talk about either endocrine health or general health, not both, but you can’t have one without the other. Readers learn how individual vitamins and minerals work for overall health.

Each chapter ends with a link to the vitamin/mineral’s best form, from a quality company, at a great price. Readers don’t need to know the intricacies of supplements to get an excellent product. Dowdell earns nothing from these links.

The links will save readers much more than the $37. introductory price of the e-book.

People who buy the e-book also get e-mails that add to the information in the book, future updates and special offers.

I’m buying it! I know your info is solid and I’m grateful that you share all that you’ve learned. It’s often important that we be our own doctors because there is so much they didn’t learn in medical school.

First off, I have to say fibromyalgia, Raynaud’s, etc. come from untreated/undertreated hypothyroidism. T4 medicines, such as Synthroid, do not adequately treat hypothyroidism, but they can eat your bones (long story, but that’s the end of it).

Another part of hypothyroidism–or any endocrine problem–is muscle aches. Your muscles can get into such tight knots that they pull on your bones and wreak all sorts of havoc. My 10/5/10 Too Pooped To Participate e-zine is all about treating these muscle pains. And it’s not about shots or surgery.

As soon as you say “woman’s vitamins,” it makes me think you’re not getting what you need. What you need is the subject of my e-book, Pep for the Pooped: Vitamins and Minerals Your Body Is Starving For, but I’ll tell you up front that it starts with TwinLabs Daily One without Iron. (Read my blog post about why at http://budurl.com/wc8s) Then it goes a long, long way. You have the right idea, but I perhaps you need different supplements.

Finally, hypothyroid problems typically drag the adrenals down. In turn, the adrenals make a mess of your GI system. That may or may not be what’s happening to you, but I sure think it’s worth consideration before they bring out the scalpel.

I get the idea your doctor is going by the book instead of by your symptoms.

    Hi Bette,
My Aunt is very interested in your book but does not have a computer. Do you have this in a hard copy (other than printing it out on the 8×11?

    Thanks.

  6. Bette Says:

Karen, Pep for the Pooped is available only as an e-book, and I’m sorry. Right now, there are no plans to add a hard copy book.

  7. Paul Says:

Hi Bette: Thyroid sufferer here and former phoenix resident and birthplace. Grew up around 15th and Indian School. My first real apartment was in Glendale. Anyway look forward to getting the book soon and trying serious vitamin aproach.

  8. Bette Says:

Hi, Paul, Vitamins and minerals were life-changing for me, and I believe they can make a similar difference for you, too. The thyroid is a nutrition hog. For instance, a deficiency in the B vitamins can slow it to a crawl, and most of us are deficient. Same with magnesium. Congratulations on taking control of your health.

  9. Traci Bowman Says:

How do i get the book and how much is it? I am not seeing it listed anywhere but I could be just missing it….lol
    thanks
